As Dr. Wayne Dyer always said, it all starts with setting your INTENTION. What do you INTEND to bring into your life in 2017? Is it more stress, more busyness, more worry? I hope not. We do, after all, get what we think about, or what we focus on.
A good way to start your plan is to complete the following statements:
If my life were exactly the way I wanted it to be,
I would be . . .
I would do . . .
I would have . . .
The next step is to make some notes about where you are today. Where are you in the following areas?
Health and Wellness
Income and Wealth
(add additional categories as needed)
After you have completed your notes about where you are today, go through the same process for what you want to create in your life this year? Ask yourself, “Where would I like to be in these areas in 12 months?” Again, make lots of notes in each area of your life.
And then it even helps a great deal to create a 5-Year Plan as well. Again, go through each category and write down where you’d like to be in 5 years.
As you set about planning your New Year, check in with yourself and see if all of the parts of your plan are in alignment with the truth of who you are. Determine that your plan resonates with you at a deep, heart-felt level. By following your plan you are staying “on your path” of ever-expanding awareness and consciousness. Each of your plans suits you, resonates with YOU, and you feel propelled to move forward with great vigor. You have let go of any sense of resignation, “if only”, obligation or guilt. It’s as if you are the Architect of your life; you are designing it and creating it with love.
